Andrea Richmond, Focus On Fun mastermind and her assistant Sam Riesco are committed to helping pet dog owners train the dog of their dreams. The Focus On Fun curriculum, created in the fall of 2008 includes Leadership, Pet Manners and Relationship Building for ALL pet dog owners.
As an experienced trainer, Andrea felt that too much emphasis was being placed on the traditional Competitive Obedience and the completion of the exercises rather than finding a method that could be used simply, safely and effectively to strengthen the working relationship between dog and handler and applied in many different environments.
Focus On Fun is an innovative approach to traditional Obedience training that is simple, safe and effective, allowing handlers an opportunity to learn how basic obedience commands can be used in everyday situations and form a strong foundation for future training. The ground work prepares you for entrance into the sport of Agility, with some obstacles being incorporated into the curriculum. On Q K9 Training and the Focus On Fun curriculum will continue to evolve and provide positive, upbeat programs for The K9 Club and help both two- and four-legged students to realize the value of Obedience training.
