Puppies are not perfect, but we can give you all the information you'll need to achieve that goal. Whether the dog you have recently welcomed into your home is still progressing through puppy-hood or is adjusting to a new lifestyle as an adult, many of the principles remain the same.
Find out what you can do to help your canine become the best he can be.
Bringing a puppy into your life is a BIG commitment, as anyone and everyone you meet will tell you. Finding the right match can be a long process. It is important to research the breed thoroughly and if your dog is a mixed breed, finding out as much as possible about the puppy/dog's history and breed makeup can be extremely helpful in discovering the eventual size and temperament of your new family member as well as any breed specific diseases and behaviors. Lynn, Andrea, and I are willing and able to help you research a breed, find a reputable breeder/rescue and provide sound puppy raising advice.
When you finally bring your puppy home, you will no doubt have many questions. What shots are necessary and when should he/she receive them? Why does my puppy do that? And when should spaying/neutering take place? Etcetera. We can help you! Puppies go through developmental stages, much like human children. We can tell you what to expect and how to work through them.
